Bucks Win their first Title Since 1971
Exactly three weeks after suffering a knee injury that appeared to put his future in doubt, Giannis Antetokounmpo carried the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship in half a century.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 50 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help Milwaukee beat the Suns 106-96 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. The win clinched Milwaukee’s first NBA championship since 1971.
Giannis is the first player with 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks in ANY playoff game since Shaq in 2001.
Giannis Antetokounmpo: “I hope I can give people around the world … hope it can be done. My mom was selling stuff in the street, and now I’m sitting here at the top of the top. … if I never sit at this table again, I’ll be fine with it.”
Giannis: “This can make everybody believe in their dreams. It might be basketball, it might be anything.”
